Over the past few months, I have been asked where I am going vocationally. I have been discerning how my varied background and experience can best be used in service.
As a vocational deacon, I am compelled to serve my community, especially those who are poor and in need. Our community is experiencing a mental health crisis, and there are so few resources available to help those who are struggling.
Over the coming weeks, I want to share with you this journey I am on. It is not necessarily a new chapter or a new path, but more of a convergence of my existing skills and resources. I am doing this so you can join me in this exciting and rewarding journey of servanthood.
As some of you know, in addition to my background in learning and business, I also have a background in yoga, meditation, and mindfulness. I want to leverage those experiences in ways that can help others.
In June, I was ordained as a vocational deacon. I take that call seriously, and I want to serve it well.
Finally, in January, I began my Doctor of Ministry program through Nashotah House. It has challenged me in some ways, but it has also helped me grow.
So, join me as we discern how all of this can somehow be molded into one calling through spiritual care, direction, and companionship.
I can definitely say that it has been a journey, with its ups and downs, but it is one worth taking.
